U10 RECREATIONAL SOCCER

U10 practices twice a week and play their games on Saturday mornings. Half of the games are at HYSA and half are at the Lockhart fields. The price is $120 which includes 6-8 weeks of games, jersey and medals and an end of season tournament.  Registration link is on the home page.

U10 recreational soccer teams are co-ed (boys and girls) and include U9 and U10 players. Games are played within HYSA against other in-house HYSA teams and against U10 recreational teams in Lockhart.

Coach: Teams are coached by a volunteer parent coach. If you are interested in coaching a team, please indicate this when you register your child. Coaches are encouraged to take the US Youth Soccer Grassroots Level 1 Coaching course and obtain a coaching certificate. All coaches must pass a background check and, upon successful screening, are issued a Kid Safe badge.

Practices: 1-hour practice, twice a week

Team Formation: Teams will be formed through a draft after a sufficient number of players have registered. Players will demonstrate their skills for the coaches to allow for equitable distribution of talent and ability. Special requests will not be honored at the U10 age group. Unless a player requests otherwise, a player will be assigned to their fall team for the spring season.

Game Format: Games are typically played on Saturday mornings. Games will be played at the HYSA complex and in Lockhart. Each team plays approximately 8 games per season (depending on the number of teams formed).
